Match making for a Doxie & friend

I am on the ferry to Seattle right now. A networking partner talked a homeless person who is not stable to give up one of her two dogs. She agreed to let the younger one go, a beautiful 1 year old girl red doxie. I,ve been looking for a doxie foe a month now for a friends brother! It's really going to happen now! I'm so excited for him and this girl he, calling Lucy. He doesn't know she's coming tomorrow as I'll kewep her overnite. I expect tears of joy tomorrow! I certainly hope this is a great match, doxie rescues are not very abundant unless its a mix or very senior and then the are really pricey for some reason. Probably supply and demand.. Oh I hope this goes well!

Gee, thanks! I haven't been called a young lady in years! LOL

I'll download some pix soon as I can get her to cooperate! She's a snappy doxie but has been bounced around in the homeless community since weaned I guess.. she needs structure, stability and training.
She can get all that, she'll be priceless because she is beautiful! And petite.. A mini doxie... I didn't know that picking her up.

She's scared and I'm letting her settle in for a few before I terrorize her with my camera !!! LOL

NOthing is ever easy... this doll is scared to death still. Won't eat, drink or potty. Hides in her crate. Wants to eat me too!
I'm working my plan with her but she won't be able to go right away acting like this! She's a second away from a nasty bite I fear. Poor thing doesn't realize she's on easy street for the rest of her life.. full of love and stability!
I'll get photos when I can get them better..

Here's the photo that was sent to me with the S.O.S. to help her. She's about a year old I was told, has talons for nails, needs shots and spayed. Was told she's never been in heat.. Hard to tell fact from fiction with the woman who had her. She was unstable for sure and on drugs. It was hard to leave her 2 kids with her... Well, Lucy just needs a little work and she'll be a pampered and well taken care of pooch for the rest of her life. J at my rescue (small dog home) is very well versed in doxies and great with them, may work with her once the american eskimo she has is adopted (which could be today if she makes up her mind on which home!)..
As bad as I want to feel for Lucy, I can't because she was even called 'gina <the "i" is a long "i">, <as in put a v & a in the front! > No matter what, she'll see nothing but good from here on out!

Names were picked out for a boy or girl months ago! I'm calling her what will be her new name of Lucy! Fitting on a red head, don't you think?
