All she has to do it put him in a sin bin or another room, after she tells him firmly NO. Leave him 15 minutes minimum alone. Do it everytime. If it is ever ok, then he won't know the difference.

A big NO! and a get up and ignore from the wife should work. I assume that you are the one that does the training with him?

I have an attention biter. It is very hard to deal with. With Tanner I can predict such behavior some of the time and prevent this behavior. I will through his ball, or scratch his butt before he starts to bite. In a way he is winning since he is getting the attention he wants but it is preventing the biting. A squirt bottle might help. A squirt of water to the face when he is seeking attention at inappropiate times. I wish I could help more, but I am a bit clueless as to how to handle my own biter

When Poppy did this we would say a firm NO and then redirect her biting on to something more suitable like a toy of her own. Again, she wouldn't bite me but would bite my hubbt, you both have to take the same stance...

My Lab Wally is terrible for that, he bites my bottom or the top of my leg, I constantly have little bruises, yep it does really hurt, it started as gentle sort of nips, but now it is getting a bit much, he did it yesterday, It is sore sitting on it now.

To stop him...well when he does it, I turn round and push his mouth away, very firmly, I will let you know how I go with it, also I try not to let him come up behind me, I will walk backwards if I have to, cause I have noticed he only does it from behind.

He was doing it ages ago, but stopped, I have noticed it creeping back in over the last week or so. No I can't remember how I stopped him back then, same thing I think.

Sometimes the worse thing I found with Tanner is that he is willing to take any kind of attention good or bad. I have clamped the muzzle, lip rolled, given a loud no, and given a good pop. Doesn't learn because he is still winning. Negative attention is still attention. That is why attention biting is so difficult. I have just decided to avoid the situation and predict this behavior. Then at least I am still giving him attention, on my terms
