What is this?

As most of you know, I just adopted Joy 2 days ago... Well, we have a problem and I don't know what it is She was spayed 2 days ago, as you can see by the scar and the stitches... But what concerns me is the sores. It started last night as one teeny tiny little red spot and in 24 hours has progressed to this (see picture).

I am planning to call my vet tomorrow - but in the mean time, any ideas what the heck this could be? Could they be hot spots?

OUCH! It does look like something simple that ended up infected. Let us know what the vet says. Hugs to you both!

Looks like razor burn that was licked and causing an infection. I would still go to the vet to see if antibiotics are needed.

ONE THING: E-COLLAR!

I put some natural stuff on it last night and a t-shirt so she couldn't lick it (she went berserk with the collar on) and it looks a bit better this morning. I am still going to call the vet though, in a few minutes.

Do they ever tape heart monitor leads on dogs? Maybe a reaction to some adhesive?
