FHO & Hip Replacement

Hi everyone~

I have a 4 year old Yellow Lab and I've known since she has been a pup she has had bad hips...well we went in for follow up Xrays and its time to have some surgery! =(

Of course an option is the total hip replacement and if money was not an issue I would do that...we are leaning towards the FHO.

I live in Michigan...not to far from Ohio...so if anyone of you know a gooooood doctor to help me I would appreciate it.

If any of you have had this done to your dog and can share stories, post care, good or bad...I want to be prepared!

Thanks,

Wendy

I would go to Michigan state hospital.. The best doctors but since its also a teaching hospital so they allow students to observe, it would be cheaper..

My mother years ago took a dog there with a liver shunt. It was half the price and TWICE the care.. Put it that way..
