water gorging

Okay I am just curious I have been making sure calie has a good supply of water but she seems to gorge herself with it like she will never see it again and then dumps it over when she is half way through the bowl.


Now when she does this is causes her to throw up is that abad thing?


Her previous owneres said that she LOVED water so I am assuming this is what they meant cause she sure did not like her bath?



She also has a tendecy to knock her food bowl over and eat off the floor which is not a big deal.


but what do you guys think about the gorging water and then throwing it up?

This doesn't sound good, the entire puking thing.I advise a trip to the vet, because her stomach acid could be going up her throat and that could burn. This doesn't sound like something a dog should be doing.

well the only time she vomits is when she drinks ALOT of water. and I mean she will drink and drink and drink to the point I have limited how much she drinks and how long because she gorges! I mean I dont know if she is just filling her self up to much or what. She has also started chewing her bowls so I am getting her some chew tows and maybe that will keep from chewing on bowls

Zelda did the same thing as did some of her kids.
I would have to give a small amount at a time.
There was nothing wrong with her she just loved her water and would also throw it back up if allowed to drink too much.
Just limit her intake.Small amouts at a time.

Okay that is what I thought. She has not thrown up food or anything else just her water so I have limited her amount of water cause she LOVES It and will drink to there is none left or until she decided to knock it over!

If I let my guys drink too much water they will throw it up. Rutylr is right, you should only give her small amounts at a time.

its okay she threw it up all over the couch the other day lol! hubby was not pleased.

With all this water she drinks I imagine there are a lot of wee wee trips?

YES! She pee's But she is potty trained.
