I need a little help

If anyone knows anything about trainning a frisbee dog do you know how to tell if your puppy will turn out to be a good one? I plan to go far with river but I love agility and flying disc. I have two dogs already I could run in algility once they pace all the trainning so they could show but I have always been a fan of flying dosc but I wanted to know if I could tell or not at such a young age if river will do good in that section. WHat should I look for in her to tell? I also plan on doing some advanced obedience with her. I am also really thihnking about competting angel or kaylee in agility. The only thing is kaylee hates other dogs and angel doesnt understand the consept of going fast!! and listening!! They both know almost all of the agility obsticles they just havent been in the actually trainning class. If you dont know River is an aussie. can anyone help?

Wow. Lots of dog sports... That is... a lot... of work..

I can't help you with frisbee.

Agility though! Obstacles are the least of your worries. Body language, speed, traps... Angel is your best bet for agility at this point. Dog aggression can't be handled on a sporting course.

You can find speed and focus. You just need to find the motivation... Food, toys, praise... It does take a long time to build all the skills though. I'm talking a year of training before trials. Enroll now.

To teach a dog frisbee, you need to start with some basics You start by rolling the frisbee along the ground. Never throw the frisbee at your dog's head or you can seriously injury the dog. As a puppy this should be a dog that brings his toys to you to play. If you toss the toy - he will retrieve and bring back.

She does do pretty well with treats and a toy or frisbee. She is a smart smart dog and knows everything but weave so far. weel she kinda knows weave just not with the polls. Angel doesnt like new dogs when they bother her but she will ignore them other wise. I would get the obsticles if I could so I could start teaching her at our home but our backyard isnt big enough. I do plan on getting a jump or two. Once we kinda settle down(my mom is getting a new job) then I will really start thinking about what I am going to do. My whole family is very helpful. They encourge me to do this! lol. They say there is a spot on the wall for a pic of my and either angel or river winning something! lol Here is a pic of angel. She is a corgi sheltie mix 5 yrs old. willl be 6 in september.

Maybe you could check around in your area if there is an agility club around. Ask around school too, maybe someone there is involved and could help you.

hmm okay. River has already started soing that. Our hard frisbee has misteriously disappered.(angel!!!!!) hehe Will will hopefully be getting another soon but we do have the kind that is made for like the pool and other things. It works fine but I just through it up on the roof last night !! She is only 7 weeks right know but by 5 months I will be getting her into obedience so I can do agility if I want but I will be starting to train her more before that though. I do homeschool so I have alot of time on my hands. Right now she isnt so hyper but she does bring toys back. She really likes to play fetch with the ball to.

actually there is one thankfully here! My firend has a border collie and husky puppy and her cousin has a golden retriever and a cute pound dog that they do agility with. Alli's mom use to make agility eqiuptment so I might see if I could get something from her. I have been reaserching how to train and everything for about 2 yrs now. I have learned alot and angel does real well with what she knows. I would go ahead and get into it but I think it is my fear of not being able to remember the course!
