Pine Rosin
Today being a beautiful warm day in SC I decide to bathe dogs and hang out dog bedding. Well Tucker (of course) has gotten pine rosin stuck in his leg feathering. I know I read recently something that would remove it, a list of common products to remove various problems from dog coats. I thought probably on this site but I can't find it so does anyone know what I should use?

I always use nail polish remover on myself.
Goof Off might work as well. I found that listed as something to remove tar from pet fur. |

Thank you! I think my hubby has some 'Goop' which I'm assuming is like Goof Off. I am probably the only woman who doesn't own nail polish remover but might have to stock it for the dogs. We have a huge cedar tree near the sun porch and Tucker uses the ivy under it for his business.

GOOP is NOT Goof Off. GOOP is rubber cement!

Sorry Lessica, goop is not rubber cement. It is an industrial type soap/cleaner with the consistancy of hand cream. It is used for removing paint, pitch, tar, grease etc. from human hands. Hubby uses it all the time and so does my youngest son, an auto mechanic. I've used it on the dogs carefully so as not to get it on their skin, just their fur and it works great except for that slimy slug gunk! Every once in a while they'll lay down outside to snooze and get up with a slug stuck to their coat! YUCK!

Lessica and Leslie you both are right!
At first thought I thought the same as Lessica, I ran the Home Depot paint dept. for years and that was a product we carried. Home Depot also carries "Goop" in the cleaning supply area and it is exactly what Leslie says. |

Update here: Turns out we did have 'Oops' in our vast assortment of "garage" junk and that worked. I wasn't even thinking along those lines so Lessica you were a big help and don't worry, I wouldn't use rubber cement on my little devil.
