Mira update

Oh guys I need some support. She has been crying since 4am. We are going to the vet in about an hour to get a pain injection. I'm a mess. She is groaning and whining and crying and there is nothing I can do to make her feel better. I feel so helpless. We see the specialist on Wednesday in Calgary. Please keep sending prayers/thoughts her way.

I'm so sorry to hear about yr pup but I can promise you, that you dog will feel better when she has her hip replacement!.We had to do it to 2 of our dogs and they were able to live a full, happy life without any problems. They both lived to 13yrs,one still doing his job to the age of ten.He was a working BC.The only thing, they weren't allowed, was jumping but the rest they could do it.He also had to be kept nearly underweight so that he wouldn't rehurt the hip.Keep yr hopes,up and she will get better!.Big hug to the both of you!.Laurie
PS: keep us posted on any improvement and on the operation!.Prayers going yr way!.

Thank you everyone so much. We got back from the vet and he thinks (and so do I) thats its more pscycological (sp?) (in her head) b/c she won't leave me alone and she is acting very sucky and whining, but she is still eating and walking and getting up and down. When I talk to her to tell her its alright she whines louder. So now I'm trying to "ignore" her and treat her regularly and it seems to be working! The vet wanted to give her a sedative/pain injection and keep her there for a couple hours. It was the first time I rejected a dr.s opionon! But I knew I couldn't leave her, I promised her I would taker her home this time. She is still whining when I look at her, I hope it passes! Please keep your thoughts and prayers with us!
