Worried sick about Ajax

I am so worried right now. Ajax is really sick. Since yesterday morning he has not been able to keep water or food down. And he is now starting to get lethargic. I thought maybe he might be feeling better this morning because he drank some water and it stayed down. So hubby went to church and I stayed home to keep an eye on him. Well a few minutes ago up came all teh water.

When hubby gets home I am having him phone the vet and take him straight over. I am worried that since he can't even keep water down that he might have a blockage of some sort. Hubby should be home in an hour and a half. I hate waiting that long but I have no way to get him to the vet before that. I am so worried. I just don't know what to do.

It could be an obstruction or a virus!.
I would take him to an emergency vet to have him,put an a drip cos a pup can dehydrate, very fast!.Keep us posted,Laurie.

He did last night. And he is peeing normally which is weird since he has not seemed to keep any water down. I thought yesterday that maybe it was just an upset tummy. He has had that once before. So I was planning to do teh usual which is fast him for 24 hours and then give him a rice and hamburger mixture for a couple of days and then slowly add in his kibble till he is back to eating his usual food. He was acting normal last night. But this morning he barely wags his tail, hangs his head, his ears are back and he has no interest in playing at all. He wasn't like this the last time he had an upset tummy. Which is why I am so worried. And no bowel movement this morning, he always has one in the morning.

I agree emergency vets. With an obstruction they do both trying to clear it.. He did have all his shots right before he went to the store the other day? He and you in my prayers..

Yup he had his last set of shots in November. He is laying in his crate right now. His eyes are clear and I checked his gums and they are the usual color but I am still worried. For some reason when he stands it looks like he is sucking his tummy in so you can see several of his ribs.

Poor little man!! If it's only an hour until he can go to the vet I would say don't push him to eat or drink....
He may not have pooped this morning due to the change in his diet.
Did you have a stethescope when Sheena had her babies?

no I don't. Never used on on her. And I know he doesn't have a temp. When he threw up the water this morning I decided to not give him anything. He has not had any food offered since his breakfast yesterday morning that he threw up.

Just 2 other questions.....have you phoned the vet office to tell them you will be bringing him in?

Is there anyone you can call to go to the church and get your husband?

Everyone I know is at church. Yup I phoned the answering service. She is suppose to call me back as soon as they get ahold of her. Our vet is not a 24hr one. If they do not get a hold of her by the time hubby gets home then we are driving to Lethbridge to the 24hr emergency vet there.
