Question Teeth

Hello- I have been off of the computer for a while- I started a new job and have been spending all of my time off with Evie. Anyway- she has started loosing her teeth and the new ones that are growing with points on each side of the tooth. It looks like each tooth has a little point on each side of it. I have posted a pic of them(though it's not a very good one-it's not easy getting her to stay still to take a pic of her mouth! lol), but we didn't think that it looked 'normal'. DH is worried that it was from distemper when she was a puppy but I don't think it looks like that. If that were the case, we didn't know about it; (We got her from the breeder when she was a little over 6 weeks old and she had been vaccinated properly from the start. She sees a vet. on a regualar basis for a check up, shots, heartworm & flea prevention, etc.) If anyone has any idea what it could be (or even if it is just normal) I would greatly appreciate any input. I know I didn't really explain it very well, but hopefully you guys can get the just of what I'm trying to explain.

I can't tell by the picture, and I have no idea what are you trying to describe.
Here is a drawing of what normal incisors look like:

1) normal incisor occlusion 2) side view of normal incisor occlusion 3) normal premolar tooth relationship 4) horizontal lines illustrate normal occlusal plane of upper and lower arches

Thank you so much weezyNollie. You are wonderful! I really appreciate your photo. I had tried looking online for a good one to compare but I couldn't find one. Her teeth look very similar to that (just smaller since they are just now growing in) so I feel much better- well my DH will feel much better too! lol. He just worries a lot because he cares about her so much.

Well.. you're welcome. I wasn't quite sure what you meant, but I figured showing you something normal would help.

When you have a question like this it might be good to also have your vet take a look. Just to see that everything is normal, if this is your regular vet may cost little to nothing if you are a regular customer.

Also the peace of mind just knowing that you have done the best in being sure is a good thing.

Let us know,

Ken
