We've always tried to take care of our dog's coat but no matter what she seems to have a ton of dandruff. We give her coat pills, even special ones prescribed by the vet, and while her coat is more shiny and a little more oily now, whenever I try to get rid of the excess shedding fur she always has dandruff all over her coat afterwards
any suggestions? |

Dobielover, I am in the same boat with my dog. I've done the oil food additives, fish oil capsules, etc., with the same results as you. Spyder has done quite well most of the winter, but yesterday after brushing, it came out again.
I've been told that it can be an allergy that causes it, but I've not had any tests done for that. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say about this, too. |

Spyder is cute !_! ^_^ Yah, Fraulein gets it a lot after grooming all over the big area of her back and even around her tail. I don't know if she has any allergies but she is now on a treatment for some doberman acne on her chin which is almost gone. I've heard that dobermans are prone to many health issues compared to some other breeds. They're no low maintenance dog -_- At least she loves the coat pills. She values them over any other treat except for those dry liver treats
