Wyatt may have to be moved

I'm very upset. Wyatt and Duke are not getting along. Wyatt is gaining his confidence and he is standing up to Duke. Duke doesn't like Wyatt for some reason and will growl at him frequently, with increasing intensity. Wyatt use to submit and now he is growling back. They just had a staring showdown while growling and showing teeth in the living room. Thankfully it didn't escalate, but I don't want a dog fight! I can't really keep them seperate, my house is very open, and I don't want to lock one up everyday. The rescue is looking into moving him.

It's not your fault. Wyatt is just not getting along with Duke. You have had enough foster in your home and Duke has not been agressive or nasty to any of them. With Wyatt....it just isn't clicking. Better to have him moved then to have bloodshed on your hands. You are doing the right thing.

It not that bad yet.....I just don't want it to escalate. Maybe its b/c Wyatt wasn't neutered? I found some "markings" around the house yesterday. Maybe Duke feels threatened? He doesn't like him on the bed or on the couch with me???? I feel bad for Wyatt though, he has really taken to me.....

He was fixed on Thursday. The rescue told me he has a meet tommorow, keep your paws crossed!

Well, sometimes things like this happen and we can't do a thing about it. I hope everything goes well and that there's a solution.

I'm so sorry, he was doing so well. It's good he's getting his nerve up but *not* good he's decided to stand up to your Duke .

Please keep posting with updates.

Well let's hope this meet and greet works out and he has a new home without having to be transferred to another foster.
But sometimes, after we've done what we can, it's best to let them move on to avoid having anymore issues. It's not your fault they are not getting along!
