Lady Rose was spayed

Lady Rose was spayed yesterday. We did not test her for Vonwildabrandts(sp) since her ears were already cropped.

We think she has a mild case of it, she had some extreme bleeding and some bruising. I really need to keep her calm for a few days. Thats going to be very hard.

You can tell she doesn't feel well, I feel bad for her.

Can you get any arnica tablets - they will help her with the swelling & bruising. Poor girl - give her a gentle hug from us.

They are homeopathic, small white tablets, I'd have to look up the dosage for you if it's not on the pack. I gave them to Poppy when she was spayed and I believe it made a difference and really helped her. You can also get arnica gel but that wouldn't be a useful for Lady Rose.

Poor baby. Good luck keeping her calm! Tell her I said "don't make aunt teresa come over and hold you down until you recover!"

Give her a big hug and kiss from me!

Arnica is the best! You can pick it up right in a health store. It's true it's good for swelling and bruising. Just a note......If you wind up having anymore dogs spayed or neutuerd it's good to start giving them arnica 3 days before the surgery.

Arnica looks like tiny white nitro tables and has a sugary taste. You will have no problem with giving them to your dogs. They will think you are giving them candy. I swear by this stuff for both humans and animals.
