I need some help
Hi everyone!
Ninos has been in heat for about a week now and I noticed ninos and cheeky acting a little weird today so before I went to work I told my hubby to be careful and watch them carefully. Of course he put them outside together and I'm sure you can guess what happened... James (hubby) was very upset and he didn't know what to do. Now I would like to see if anyone knows if it is likely that she would get pregnant about 7-8 days into her first heat. Also when I got home I took a look and she is not swollen anymore it looks just about normal and I also noticed that her nipples are hard and enlarged. If anybody knows how likely it is or why her nipples would be hard then the info would be greatly appreciated Thank you so much! Tanya |

first off yes she could be pregnant if they mated. but even though it was a little early some dogs do ovulate earlier than others.
the hormones that caused her heat can also enlarge her breast tissues similar to our breasts during our period. Even without mating. Talk to the vet and get as much info as you can about this. Keep a close eye on them to prevent another mating and write down the date of the mating count 63 days from it and that is the due date. You can get a mismate shot if this was unplanned but discuss the risks with your vet. A crate with a latch and seperate rooms is the only way to be sure that they will not get together.dogs ovualte usually about 10 -11 days into their heat and are fertile after they stop bleeding is the best time for a mating to be fruitful. |
