Need some help guys its VERY IMPORTANT

This is not about my dogs but I am going to try to help this person out a little bit.

She has a 15 month old mini dauchsuand(spl?) everytime she eats or drinks she throws up says when she drinks shre throws up a liquid that is dark green and vile. Her Poop is solid and firm no diarhea. Dog is very skinny.

I have asked for a list of foods she has tried because apparently she wont eat certain foods. she has not had this dog long just about 3 weeks previous owner seems to be of no help.

EDIT: found out she is has tried purina and pedigree and some random dog food from tractor supply and says her gums are a pale pink.

I dont think its parvo.... could it be parasites?

Could be sleu of things. Esophageal obstruction, ulcer, endocrine disorders, pancreatic issues, cancer, etc.

See vet immediately.

Weezy's right - there are too many things it could be; she's got to take the pup to the vet ASAP; ask her to try raw just to get some food in her. I'm not pushing a raw diet - just something to get into her system so she doesn't fail. Chicken with pumpkin and some dark greens minced real fine. No beef - too heavy for a failing dog.

Even if it were one of your dogs Mid the symptoms are just too numerous to try to even pin point an answer on this one. In this case the vet holds most if not all the answers.

Agree.. could be a slew of things that only a vet workup can answer and by the sound of it needs to be done soon!

Well guys the girl did not take her to the vet. I do not know this person I just offered help and I now have a dauschsand. I am taking her to vet in the morning she is not dehydrated and that was one thing I was worried about. I did however force feed her some soft food its organic chicken and rice formula. she has access to some water and a bowl of the soft food to eat at her own fre will. My friend that is a vet tech is bring me some fluids tomorrow if she needs it. I am just hoping I can help this poor little thing. I weighed her and she weighs less then one of my 5 week old pups.

The owner could not take her to the vet, she told me she even called all the no kill shelters and they would not take her and no vets in her area will accept payments. She said she just got her 3 weeks ago and called old owner and said it was her problem not hers. She then told me she just didn;t want to sit there and watch the dog die. I feel very sorry for this dog and she has just been tossed from one home to the next she is about 15 months. lady gave me vaccination records and she was vetted on January 2.

But she is def going to vet tomorrow morning.

I understand the situation Mid but yet I shake my head. I wish there were more vets out there that accepted installments. Thank you so much for helping this poor dog out. Please keep us posted.

it bothers me that vets dont do that. There used to be a vet in my area that accepted payments but they dont do it anymore. But the problem with pymts is people dont always pay them.

I hope I can get her better. I dont think she is spayed either I have not looked I dont want to stress her any. but if I can get her healthy, I will have her spayed and try to find her a new home that wil be able to give her the care she needs when she needs it.

Poor little thing . If she were older & healthier I'd say ship her to me. I'm about to go on a rant which will serve no purpose so I'll just leave it...but do please keep posting - and contact the Dachshund Club rescue; hopefully they can help you straight away.

Canadian Dachshund Rescue
Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue (CCDR)
The Dachshund Club of America
Dachshund Rescue Web page...host of addresses

There's one out there that's incorporated - them I'd stay away from.

It would be wonderful if we had a database area for this type of information.
