I massage my dogs all the time - similar to the way you'd massage a baby or small child.
I generally start at the head, massage muzzle, cheeks, browl and dome, I don't really do the ear leather but I do the ear base. Depending on your dogs' head you can either space fingers or keep together (also depends on how much work you want to do LOL) I move down neck, do shoulders, move down spine, do each back leg, including toes and then do forearm and end with front toes. By then mine are usally alseep or near too ![]() Mine don't really like their tails done so I usually forgo them just a run fingers down to check for any knobs, burrs or discomfort. Pressure is very light, circular motions...just enough so you feel muscles "give." It's a great way to find any owies or bumps on a dog and they so enjoy a massagae. I don't know if there's a book, I've just done it because it helps calm me .
