PJ is doing well!

http://www.prodoggroomingsupplies.co...ad.php?t=44578
It's been a little over a week and the vet is very pleased with the progress PJ is making. She gave her one more week of confinement then next week we will start the walks. She is bored out of her mind and starting to get into trouble, like sneaking out when i go get the wood today!!! Her and Jack started to run around so had to put a quick stop to that. She tries to bolt now on her bathroom outtings. I would say 'yes' she is doing very well!

Poor bub, good that she's come through it so well. She's positive she's all better and doesn't mind what you or the vet think. Silly girl!

Bad Bad Set back

I went to my in-laws over the weekend and had PJ in her spot. She is a nervous dog and doesn't like me leaving. My husband and I went to pick up some stoves. I took her out to go potty and knew she would be fine till we got back. People were there and I had her tied so she would stay confined in the house. Somehow she kept slipping out of it and going to the door and whining. They thought she needed to go potty so my niece took her out. Sure enough PJ broke away and start running through waist deep snow!!! . My mother in law was so worried and was trying to get her to come to her. PJ would look at her and hop away from her through the snow!! She made a good trek around the property till she finally stopped and let my MIL come to her. Tuesday was the day I was going to start taking her on her walks too! She was doing awesome. I hope she only made herself sore and didn't mess up her surgery. The vet said to wait a week and leave her on bed rest again She didn't even have her pain pill that day. She's been so anxious to play outside and has been feeling so good.

I should've listened to that voice that was telling me that maybe I should've called them to tell them not to take her outside. Nothing I can do now but wait

Solsalia, it's hard, but dogs will do what dogs *want* to do. Just keep her crated as vet says. The good thing is that the snow gave some cushioning unlike hard ground. She may have set herself back a few days but that should really be all. If the vet were really worried he'd have you bring her in for x-ray.

SS that she got out. My sincerest wishes that she continues to heal. It really is the best for her to keep her as low as possible for the next week. I know that's a tall order for an active dog...but really is in her best interest.

Thanks for your support. She seems to be using the leg better again. I'm hoping there was no damage done. My MIL was so worried and probably felt really bad but I held no blame to her. She was mad at her to for not coming when she was calling her. She's almost a 1 person dog.
