Here's Celia's new photos and her full story.
She is about 7 or 8 years old. She was found wandering homeless and brought to a high kill shelter. Someone had her transfered to another shelter. As her time was drawing to a close there, the rescue network sent out an SOS email for someone to take her into foster or adopt her.
Why would she still be there even at her age?
I've never seen such a saggy stomach before! She was bred until she could breed no more seemingly . She also has degenerative myelopathy. She gets around just fine but is really wobbly when she's been laying down for a while and first gets up. It's like when we get up to walk and our legs asleep.
She is the sweetest thing who just wants to be with you and give you kisses. She also romps around like a boxer does. She actually runs around the yard really well too and really enjoys it! She's just such a lovebug!
She has a meet & greet on Sunday and I'm hoping the very best for this darling. She really deserves to be somewhere pampered and loved dearly for the rest of her life!!!

Oh my gosh is she ever sweet! I will never ceased to be amazed after things happen to some dogs and they continue to shine and be loving!
In fact the only thing she has any issue at all with is anyone going near her food or treats. She doesn't want to inhale it but take her time and she will leave it too. If some other kid comes along for it, she's right there to chase them off. That's it, everything else about her is wonderful!

What a sweet face, and such a tragic story - breaks my heart to know people are so willing to throw away such a dear bub.

Breaks my heart too! They got what they wanted from her and then tossed her out like yesterday's newpaper
Why can't this be illegal with stiff penalties? Maybe it wouldn't happen so much?
