Smile Looking for a puppy.....

Hi,

We are looking for a puppy. Perferably for FREE. Looking for a large dog. We have a small dog so our new dog/puppy MUST be friendly with other dogs. We have cats but they are mostly outside and only inside occasionally.

Give us a call: 254-368-3040

We are located in Killeen, Tx and travel is minimul.

Hi Pollywog. I don't know of any rescues that give out FREE puppies or adult dogs for that matter. There is not such thing as a free puppy and puppies are usually way more expensive than an adult dog as they need so much more the first 2 years of their youth. The first 16 months alone consists of 2 sets of rabies shots, 4 vaccine shots, deworming, teething supplies, potty training products and that's not even mentioning any training.
If you want a dog without an adoption fee involved, try craig's list. I hear there's many there but some have the "rehoming fees" attached.

Occasionally we see some people giving puppies away every now and then from the side of the road. But none we saw that we wanted.

I've seen some "FREE" adoption fees but they are rare.

Vet care is not a problem as I work on a ranch and the ranch owner/my boss is a vet so I have no problems there!!! We'd like a puppy so it can grow up with us and we can take it to PetSmart for puppy classes.

I'm just seeing if anyone as any free pups or dogs.

The don't have a dog "classifieds" on here so this is why I posted this on here.

Thanks

A free pup on the side of the road is probably as close as you're going to get to a free puppy these days. You want free but they weren't what you were looking for? Kinda picky don't you think?

We don't have classified ads because giving away free puppies is not what RESCUE & ADOPTION is all about. Dogs cost money pure and simple.
This is not the correct site for what you're looking for.

If you can't afford an adoption fee, I'm sorry, but I doubt you can truly afford a dog for the next dozen years or so and care for it properly. You should probably look at that aspect.

If you're a TROLL looking for a feeding, feed elsewhere and I'm done and out now. good nite.

Oh geez, what is it lately? This is a forum for respectable dog owners and mature individuals interested in owning a dog that will become a member of your family. Everyone else, please go away.

FREE puppies? YOu'll be sorry. And taking them from the side of the road from ignoramuses is no way to go about getting a pup. You could end up with the new dog and your other dog dead becuse of some disease or whatever. NOTHING in life is free...not even when they say it is.

We don't have a "classifieds" section because we want to promote responsible dog ownership. Responsible breeders don't need to advertised in a classifieds section on a dog forum.

You need to seriously consider the costs involved AFTER you get your free puppy home... I know you said vet costs won't be a problem but my dog has already cost of $600 US in vet bills this year - and that was just for Kennel Cough!

We don't have free dogs on this forum, what we do have are people who love their dogs and want to teach others about responsible dog ownership. If you're up for that then please stick around - if you're not then this may not be the forum for you...
