lupud on dogs

has anyone heard of dogs haveing lupus? that is what my vet said dakoda had in dec. when i took her in cause she looked like she got beat down but i know she didn't. her nose was bleeding really bad and then a spot behind her ear. it has all cleared up really well now and no sign of it anywhere. i looked it up but could not find anything about animals getting lupus.

Yes dogs can have Lupus. Typically signs include: dry, cracked nose and occasionally affects the ears as well.

Treatment is Tetracycline and Niacinamide, three times daily for both for lifetime. Alternative is steroids.
