My boxer girl just weaned a litter and the have now been homed. All of a sudden her coat is changing colors (lightening) and she is shedding a lot is this normal or should I be concerned?

I think this is normal. I am not positive but I'm pretty sure there coats change after having pups and then change back later.

It's normal for a bitch to lose her coat after whelp; give her some flax seed oil, and Brewers yeast. She should be fine in a few weeks.

I keep mine on both (but I use the golden flax seed meal) year round. Never had a bitch look ratty after whelp but know most do.
