Poppy's limping

Poppy has just started limping tonight, it's her front leg. I've checked her paws and can't see anything obvious, I've also felt her leg and can't feel anything. She's also super whiny...

The only other time she had a limp she had a thorn stuck in her paw which I removed.

Advice needed...

I would give her Arnica BE. Arnica is excellent for bruses, scrapes, and for pain and it's all homeopathic. I had the same situation with Uma. I hunted up and down on this dog but could find nothing abnormal. I gave her arnica for 3 days and the limping stopped.

have you tried to massage her leg to see if there is any particular area that seems to be bothering her? I would give it a day and see if she's still limping and then make a vet appointment. If she's extremely whiny, you might want to see if the vet could get you in.

Funny you should say that Fairlight, I'm just looking for my arnica bottle! Can't find it so might have to go out and get some...

Digs I've tried massage but the thing is with Poppy she will not show me any signs of pain whatsoever. It was the same when she got attacked, I could touch her all around the bite and she even let me clean it and she showed no signs of being in pain apart from the whining. Yet get her to the vets and she let them know she was in pain!

I give Arnica for everything and it usually works for me!.Keep her off exercise for 48hrs and if she doesn't do better, take her to the vet!.

How long has it been like that? Kirby's leg actually falls asleep sometimes, and he'll limp around for a couple hours, putting no weight on it at all.

Never heard of Arnica. Except that I'm fairly certain that it's a species of flower, but probably not what you're talking about- or is it? Shed some light?

She's been running a lot these past few days so she may have sprained something. I found the arinca so have given her two tablets - I'll repeat again first thing tomorrow morning. If there's no improvement tomorrow we'll go to the vets on Thursday because it's a Bank Holiday here on Friday and although our vets operate 24/7 the costs will be a lot higher!
