Angry Help!

My dog is presently in heat and she is constantly wanting to go out side. If she so much as sees another dog out the window or hears one she goes crazy running around and whinning. What is going on and will this ever stop? She stays in her kennel at night and she will yelp wanting out all night, you would think that I had a new baby in the house with the little sleep that I'm getting.

DO not let her out!.She seems to be ready to go to the male and might try to escape!.Take her out on a leash and then, right back in!.It's normal behavior!.Remember,A dog whether male or female will do anything to get what they want!.Keep her away from dogs for 4 weeks, from the 1st day,you saw her bleed. Also I wouldn't leave a female in a kennel!.I've seen dogs matting through the kennel or climb it!.

many dogs when the need is driving them nuts cannot help iut this will be like this every time she comes in heat and when you stop seeing blood do not think she cant get pregnant for at least two weeks more likly three you will have this going on and depending on the breed several times a year.

Spaying will reduce both your stress levels

I agree, once this heat is done get her in to be spayed ASAP. You dont want to have an accidental litter on your hand.

Thanks everyone, it's going to be a loooong 3 weeks. BTW her kennel is in the house not outside because she is a house dog. She stays in her kennel at night. She crys all night and when she is out of her kennel in the house with us she just paces and paces trying to get us to let her outside. I've had females before but none have been this obsessed with wanting to mate. I call her my little ****....sure hope that doesn't offend anyone
