New foster Golden Boy
I picked Goldie up from the SPCA yesterday afternoon. Seems they took him in for his neuter and found that it had already been done. They gave him a bath after a fashion but when I got home he still has some serious mats in his back side. I cleaned up the mats and the poop sticking to it and washed that area nice and clean then shaved some more mats off his hind legs and got him ready to meet the crew. I crated him for about three hours and he is now enjoying the freedom of the house with the rest of the pack. He's an owner turn in and is about 8 years old.
 He has an ear and eye infection that I'm treating with that sticky oily antibiotic ointment so he's not looking as pretty as he really is.  He's not a very big boy but he is fat so he's on a diet....  We have him placed already so as soon as I take Skipper over to my director next week Wednesday and he'll go along for the ride and meet his new forever mom and dad.

He's handsom. Looks like an old guy I know, named Sparky, about the same age too...
When is your next foster coming in? (I love looking at Shelties... It's even got me thinking Border Collie OR Sheltie for my next dog!)

He is a nice looking dog. I always wonder what would make a person give up an older dog. They obviously cared for him for 8 yrs... what happened in their life to make him disposable.
