Gr Pyr in need of a home

His name is Buster. He is about 3 or 4 years old. He was forced to live outside on a chain nearly all his life. Despite his lack of training, he is the sweetest big teddy bear I have ever met. He was completely matted when he came in, but just lay there all throughout the de-matting process. He is beginning to learn sit and down while at the shelter.

Awwww, what a sweetheart! I LOVE Great Pyrs....I wish sooooo much that he was my dog!! He's SO handsome!!!

I'd take him but most male pyrs will not accept another male pyr - knowing Loki, I'm guessing that might be true.

Ooooooh to find out he's in Ohio . If you guys want you can contact Heart of Ohio Great Pyrenees Rescue - I'm sure since he's in Ohio that they could help.

Oh, I would love to! However.. there's some friction between I and the authorities in the shelter. They don't like sending animals to rescues because they are missing out on potential money they could make off of the dog. (Even with the dogs that CANNOT handle the kennel environment and would do so much better in a rescue where they could be in a foster home.).. Oye!

If they ever give me the go ahead to find a rescue, I already have contacts and the rescue you mentioned was one of them
