Trying to adopt

Hey guys.

I've been trying to adopt this dog for what seams like forever now (even thought it's only been about a week). This week has gone by so slow, it hurts.

She's an APBT and I've always always always wanted one, ever since I was just a little kid. But, my parents always believed in the typical "Pits are vicious" rumor. It took tons of research, convincing, debates, long arguements, and them meeting a few to convince them otherwise. Also, it took years of my undying devotion of wanting one for them to finally come out and say that it would be okay for me to get one.

So of course, I looked through hundreds of APBT on petfinder and finally found one I was really interested in. I called on her and talked to the lady in charge of the rescue. I filled out my application and the application was fowarded to the puppy's foster mommy.

Now I'm waiting for her foster mom to contact me (which I don't even know if she will).

All this waiting is driving me crazy. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I keep thinking that I'm going to end up dissapointed...

This will be my first adopted dog. I have so many plans already. I want to teach her to jump courses and do weight pulling (I've seen pits do that before). I would also love for her to be one of those dogs that visits hospital patients to cheer them up.

Not too long. I faxed it about 3-4 days ago. It just feels like it's been forever. I check my cellphone every 10 minutes to make sure I didn't miss a call.

True! I didn't even think of that. Attempting at this adoption is actually what reminded me of these forums. I forgot how much I used to post on here.

I figure my friends must get sick of listening to how excited I am so when I thought about it, I knew that the people here on prodoggie would love to listen and can relate more then anyone.

i do that when im waiting for calls...depending on what the call is ill make people call my phone to be sure its working...im lame i know

Doesn't it seam like forevvvvvver? I just want to meet her and get to know her. She looks like such a character from her pictures.
