Can a dog get a sunburn?

Dottie is a 6 month old fox terrier,She has lovely white skin on her tummy. She enjoys laying in the sun.I wonder where she is so pale if she could get a sunburn? If so should we use baby sunscreen on her? Thanks

Yes she most definately can get burnt, use ordinary sunscreen, preferably a non perfumed, non allergy type.
