Help. My dogs and the dog next door keep chewing the fence.

In the past week my dogs have gotten out twice.
Have any of you ever used Radio Fences or other behavior modification for keeping your dog(s) in?

Just a question.Do your dogs try do dig if you are in the yard with them?If they do try using a prong collar on an extending leash.Let the dogs go where they want and if they start to dig give a correction. Also if your dogs stop digging the neighbors dog may stop digging but it is not a garuntee.

I didn't fully state the problem. They chew the fences until they come down. I mean they rip them right off the nails. When I'm in the yard they are fine.

They usually do this at night. The ground is too hard for them to dig each other over. I wish this were the case. At our other home they soil was so soft that they could dig. But I put their dog poop in the holes and that helped alot.

Now it's the wooden fence. They just tear it up. So I thought that a radio fence would help them define boundries?

Lord help me.

Do you know if the dogs next door are suffering from seperation anxiety? Or boredom could be the case of the chewing. Plus if you already haven't got the fence fixed I would advice you to get it fixed, this way your dogs are less likely to escape.

Thanks Dog

Yes I think the dog next door does suffer from separation anxiety. I just figured that out this past weekend.

The owner, as wonderful neighbors are they are, leave town just about every weekend.

Poor Jasmine (their dog).

Any hoot - just got the closing deals on a house we are selling and I'll be able to put the type of fence that is suitable for my dogs, plus put in a kennel, or dog run.

I'm so excited.
