help! multiple extreme seizures

I have a jack russell mix that is just over 1 year old. out of the blue he has started having seizures. The first one we witnessed was last night, but I think he has been having a couple a day thinking back to different things the past couple of days. So far this morning he has had 4. He has loss of bowel and bladder control with each one, and seems to be dissoriented and blind after. then he just goes and lays down and sleeps till the next one. He used to be my shadow when he was not in his crate, and now he won't even come near me. I don't know what to do. If anyone could give me some insite, I would really be greatful. I can't get to vet till late tonight or tomorrow am.

There is nothing you can do but to keep him safe so he wont hurt himself while having the seizures. If I were you I would just go the emergency vet, or call around to find a vet that will get you in right away....THIS CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

Good luck and keep us posted.

The only thing I can tell you is get him to the vet. This could be serious. Whatever is keeping you from getting to the vet NOW - there's got to be a way around it.

Have to agree... The vet is the most important place to be.. This needs to be evaluated ASAP, especially since he is so young!
Do you know if he go into anything toxic? Either way... Go to the vet!

hubby has only vehicle and is two states away. Have in home daycare with 4 others kids and 5 of my own. No one to watch them all, and certainly can't walk him 8 miles to nearest vet. believe me this is killing me. I've been calling my hubby every 30 minutes, "where are you now?". I just don't understand what could have started this. The only thing I can think of is his crate is in the basement, and on Saturday I had the exterminator in and sprayed the outside walls in basement for spiders and other creepy crawlers. Could this have done something days later?

It is possible. Could you call a friend and get her to take him to a vet?? It is soooooo important that you get him there NOW...he could die if you dont.

Yes,pestecides can cause that!!.You need to take him to the vet ASAP or you risk to lose him!.IF he has another seizure, try to film it cos it will help him!.When he has a seizure, keep him away from furniture so that he doesn't get hurt and make sure that he doesn't swallow his tongue!.

It must be horrible going through this and literally being trapped in the house. I would also call the exterminater as asked what he used for spray. Most exterminators are very careful but you always have those few that just spray and leave and tell you nothing.
