Cash is a cone head..updated with pics

LMAO! My poor poor problem child. He is having allergies. From what the vet says its common in this area. So he chewed himself raw over the weekend. Now he is on antibiotics, steroids, some cream to go on the hot spots and to make it worse he has a huuuge cone on his head. He is so mad too. I feel bad for him but he will have to deal with the cone lol. I will get pictures tonight for yall. Just dont tell him i posted pics of him looking silly lol. Cashy cashy cashy what am i going to do with him!

Ooh poor Cash! Allergies are a pain, Niki, who we put down last spring had allergies when he was younger, he'd scratch all his coat off and have oozing sores.

Sorry to hear this! Can I ask was there anything diagnosed? Those are just cover up meds. Putting him on steroids and antibiotics is nuts.....No offense.

I am sorry to hear that Cash has become a cone head!!

I am assuming by your remark that the vet said they were common in your area that Cash's allergies are seasonal? I have heard that Omega 3 and possibly Omega 6 Fatty Acids has helped some dogs with these allergies. Someone I used to work with used this and her dog was able to eventually come off of the steroids. You could ask your vet about it.

Bacterial. Everytime Cash or Pharaoh has ever come up with hot spots whether it was flea allergies or any other allergies the same meds have been supplied from different clinics. It clears it up fast and helps them feel better so i dont feel that its nuts personally. It usually happens once a year to one or the other. Same routine each time and with the same meds it goes away.

He is already feeling better but still pitiful with that collar on lol!

The steroids are only a 14 day dosage.. its not a permanant medication.
