Hi I have a purebred german shepherd which my husband I purchased from a Breeder and her parents are amazing champions and now Butterfly whoms in heat for the first time as of March 5th yesterday was day 12 ,,,also yesterday was the day she met het mate for the first time he as well is a purebred german shepherd from pure german line from sable to king as mine is too,,,anyways yesterday she had him running after her in circles for hours he managed to mount her several times and everytime held on for longer periods today I have to leave her there for the day,,,My question is ????

Yes, it is possible for her to be pregnant without a tie. A tie will be better assurance that proper mating took place, but is not required.

Look i dont know what you are trying to do. If you leave 2 uneutered/unspayed GSD's, (one being in heat) your going to have puppies. Are you a professional breeder? You definitly dont sound like one. So why breed. I suggest you seperate them untill the heat is over. Because they both come from champion bloodlines, it doesnt make it alright. Will you have a place for these puppies?

I see that purebred. But to me, and i think anyone who has a brain can see shes not a professional breeder. Therefore its a stupid idea. But whatever. Do as you wish.

I am sure we could all lecture about breeding, and the pro's and con's. It is just time to bite thy tongue.
