Could this be an ulcer?

When Peabody went to the bathroom this afternoon his stool was black. Carl said on Sunday he was sick at his stomach and throwing up. I know he has a really sensitive stomach and he is so scared of everyone else but us so I wonder if he could have an ulcer.

Black stool can be the beginnings of hook worms ( ie before it turns to blood from detaching worms or dried blood). Take him into the vet.

Over the years I've had several ulcers - never once with black stool (which is usually a symptom of blood) - I'd say vet asap.

That could be a sign of a gastrointestinal bleed.. I would probably be checking in with my vet.

Agreed. Black stool indicates an upper GI bleed of some sort. The vomitting and soforth could be indicative of some blockage. I would have your dog XRayed ASAP!
