Most human shampoos aren't formulated for dogs and can make certain conditions worse. Prodog has a great selection of shampoos and grooming supplies. Personally I would go with a mositurizing oatmeal blend.

I would also recommend cutting down on the number of baths you give and use puppy wipes in between for those "problem" area - Mouth & bum.

Some would appear to make the skin softer, and it may do that but when you bathe them you are washing out oils in the skin. Baths too frequently can really dry out the skin and make it really itchy for the dog. Also, the skin will become very rough.

yes baby shampoo helps the dandruff! When i went to the vet i forgot to ask what they thought but luckly river was nervous and had dandruff and she told me to give her a egg and bathe her in baby shampoo. She says it is really good for them!

I use baby shampoo on my dog for various reasons, dandruff isn't one of them.

I don't use dog shampoo because it's too greasy for my dog's coat, and baby shampoo is more dry. So it makes sense to me that baby shampoo would cause more dandruff if the dog has a dry skin problem. But I'm not sure, I don't have any skin issues over here.

Soft, shiney coat should be acheived and maintained by good diet.
