How old is Zeus again? Skinny is better than too fat. (In other words I wish mine had your problem). You can add a couple of snacks during the day.

You can add some cooked rice Zeus' diet. Or maybe even pasta. Make sure its cooked though. Both good sources of carbs, over time he will gain some weight safely. You dont want to overload with human foods because thats not very healthy.

I wouldn't try to fatten him up. He might just be going thru a growth spurt. Since most dogs become overweight after 2 years of age - count your blessings.

I have seen too many little dogs (around here anyway) that look like footballs with legs. For myself, I would wait til he's at least 2 - 2 1/2 to see if he's still on the thin side. I was on a site that showed that dogs lived 20% if they were slightly underweight.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!! Could use them for the Edmonton Eskimo's. Sorry got a visual there. LOL!!! Just kidding !

I agree to wait, as long as you do not see hip bones, and the spine sticking out your dog is fine. As Dax said growth spurts have this effect on dogs and horses too. Rib is fine to see a little of. Wish I could still see mine !

Here is something you could add a littl of to your dogs food, canola oil , corn oil or flax seed oil ( available in capsules in the phamacy ). This all essential fatty oils , omega vitamin and a healthy shine to you dogs coat. Being a little dog only add about a teaspoon or one flax capsule.
