Cliffords Seizures

Over the past 9 days Clifford has had 3 "focal seizures" they are not extreme, but I am concerned things can get worse. He was going every 6 weeks or so with out one. Last week he had one 2 days in a row.
I spoke with the Vet today, we both agreed we put him on Phenobabritol(sp). I guess usually you give doses twice a day, we are only going to give one daily. I hate to over medicate!
Well, hopefully things will stay under control with the medication.
My poor little boy!

Dobermom- forgive my short term memory loss.....

Did they do all of the appropriate bloodwork? Especially the TSH (thyroid) test? If not, have this tested; there may be a hormone you can give to balance his levels, and this may help.

Big hugs for him and for you. This must be so hard.....

I had bloodwork done on him a few months back, I'm not sure exactly what was tested. I will ask about TSH in the AM.
It really bothers me because I dont know the cause. Its seems to be a mild form of epilepsy. I hate to rush into meds, but I also dont want to sit back and let the problem possibly get worse!
It is stressful, I want to make the best decision. Its hard because believe it or not Clifford does not talk. lol

In my opinion, this is the FIRST issue that needs to be addressed. Isn't he a little old to not talk?!? I mean even Scooter has learned Mrowl.

No words, just goofy Clifford looks! lol
Meka is quite a talker! Maybe it takes Doberman boys longer.
