can dogs pass on sickness

My in-laws brought their dog to my house overnight. What they failed to mention was that she was sick. She had diarehha all over my living room floor. My dog was fine. Now, two days later, my dog had diarehha on my floor and continues today.

Can dogs give each other sickness like humans give each other flu or cold bugs?

Oh yes indeed! I would call your inlaws and see if their dog is through with the diahrrea. If not then I would take your dog to the vet. If their dog is through with the runs you can always add some pumpkin in your dogs food to control loose bowels.

Yep - just look at my other thread!!!!! Hope your dog feels better soon. If I were you I'd just feed chicken & rice until his poop starts firming up a bit more.

It seems when one of mine gets sick the other will get sick-(usually the runs or throwing up) shortly after. Reminds me of kids!!

Oh yes they can! A bland diet with some pumpkin will help. But to err on the side of caustion I would seek a vet's advice.
