Too Much Omega 3?

Am I giving Mel too much Omega 3? Omega 3 is an ingredient in his dry food along with his joint supplement, Synovi G3 contains Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) and I add a teaspoon of Omega 3 oil to his dinner every day.

The Synovo G3 has 9 mg of EPA and 6 mg of DHA

Is this too much?

As long as he's not having runny poop or very oily fur you should be fine. The amount of 3's in the kibble are so small and is pretty much cooked down you can't even count it as a source. So the other 3 sources you add I think would bring the amount to almost perfect.

While it's theoretically possible to get too much omega-3 (or enough omega-3 to create a significant imbalance), it's not likely. You'd have to eat a diet composed almost entirely of fish, seaweed, and flax. Consuming excessive amounts of fish oil supplements, and severely restricting your intake of grains and vegetable oils could also hypothetically create an imbalance
