Foster life has been over the top the past 2 weeks.
I took in a few pups from 3 different litters and the solo pup passed away last week followed by the male in a litter of 2 coming down with a super high fever as well. He's been consuming all my time with meds, temps and subQ fluid injections. I'm thrilled to report that he's finally on the mend and is extremely skinny but otherwise doing fantastic!
We ruled out everything known with a battery of tests and it was decided it was a very powerful canine influenza that struck a couple of the pups.
It was horrible!!!!
The 20 puppies born here in the fall were easier than 10 days of touch and go with a sick one after losing one
Everyone else is doing great.
I only have Magic still and the dobie Ashton as adults here and Ashton will get neutered on Wednesday and has his meet and possible adoption next weekend. I've been able to let out Ashton's collar 1-1/2 inches already so he's doing great!
Once he's gone, I'll have more time to get some obed and manners into Magic.

All of the rest of the pups have a waiting list to meet and choose them so they will be leaving after they are altered.

I will be taking a little break after these are all homed. This was the most devistating thing I've had to go through and I need a breather for a few.

Once I have some time, I'll take and post up some photos of these gorgeous babes.

Wow, you have been busy. Sorry to hear about the loss of one, but glad the little guy is on the mend. You deserve a break with all you've had going on. Would love to see pics when you get the chance!!

Wow, I'm so sorry T, thats awful. At least the pup got to experience love in his/her short life. You defiently need to take a breather, not for too long though I know you can't hold out for too long. I can't wait to see pics.
