Lick, lick, lick

For the past 2 days Chyna has been driving me NUTSO! What she is doing is a bit hard to explain, so bare with me.
She was doing aot of licking to her back end, I figured a nal gland, no big deal, but what is drivng me nutso is her constant "lip smacking", all I can explain it as its like she has peanut butter at the top of her mouth.
I have checked her mouth, and I see nothing. She seems a bit off, I dont think she feels 100%.

Yup, have had dogs that do that "chop slopping" sound - drives me over the edge.

Is she stress licking or maybe have a burr/splinter that is hard to see? I'd do a vet check if it goes on more than two days.

I know exactly what you mean too. Any repetative noise drives me bonkers.

Do you mean nose in the air, tongue rolling across the roof of their mouth and occasionally around their muzzle and just general licking and sticking their tongue out?

Jenna does that too. I think for her it is a calming thing but there are times she has licked her tail raw making me think allergy but then she stops and quits for awhile.

Dak does that too. He'll lick anything. That slopping noise is so aggravating. He's perfectly fine, health wise...just a little neurotic (IMO).
