Exclamation Help!?!?

My little dog Tucker just ate an apple core! I've heard that the seeds are toxic to dogs and can be deadly! Is this true? What should I do?
Tucker is a small dog who weighs only 9 pounds and I don't know if the effects of the seeds can vary due to the size of the dog. I think he probably ate 4-6 seeds in total. Please help!

Your dog will be fine. He will probably poop them out. If he isn't used to apples, or otherwise sugary foods, he may have some diarrhea. Chances are, came pretty close to swallowing it hole. Apple seeds contain trace amounts of cyanide that are not accessible because the seed is encased. The only way any animal (or person) could suffer from the toxicity of apple seed is if large amounts of them were ground up into a fine powder.

Okay thank you. Do you think I should try to induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide?

Okay thanks, I'm just so worried. He got into some chocolate a year back and that was a scary experience to say the least. I just don't want him to get sick again.

Is there anything else I should be concerned about or do for him?

Nope. The seeds are literally zero threat. The fruit itself is fine unless your dog isn't used to fruit in general. (Both my dogs love fruit.)

like moo said in such a small amount and still in seed form not powder he will be ok...keep an eye on his poop to be sure he passes it and he may feel sick because of the core being so big and foreign itself not from the seeds

Thank you everyone! Tucker seems to be doing just fine now. I will keep a close eye on him but he seems to be quite content.
