All Natural Flea Collar

[Deb's Tiny Dogs]

I received the all natural flea collars for the dogs today, they're made by MediPatch Laboratories Corp.

These were reco'd by our homeopath (people can wear them also, around their wrist or ankle.)

These supposedly last a year and are impervious to water.

The ingredients that are slowly absorbed by the pet are:

Calendula, silica, cayenne, fleabane, cinnamon, red cedar, white pine, aloe, vitamin E, graphites, berberis, echinaccea, golden seal, ginger and astralagus.

I think they act as repellants for fleas and ticks; not as killers. So, it reco's you thoroughly wash your dog with a flea bath before using them. Also, they take 2-3 weeks to achieve optimum effectiveness.

They're safe for puppies and kittens.

I'm going to give them a try and see how it goes.

Please let me know how they work out Deb. Vanilla never had a flea in her life until moving to Texas. I went out and bought her a flea collar and my husband just laughed and said "No flea collars in the south EVER work." So here we are with front line every month whihc is adding up to quite a bit of money.

You said it does not actually kill a flea or a tick. I would worry that the dogs would carry them into the house, the flea or tick our drop off and then we would be infestested. I'm curious to see how your collars work out........and rub it in!..you made two collars out of one!

Well, actually three - I had enough left over to do a wristband for myself.

Also, the dogs shouldn't be carrying them in since the collar is supposed to repel them. A traditional flea collar only protects about 1-2 inches around the collar. This gets absorbed by the entire body. I just hope they work. I've read some nasty things about Frontline and other toxic applications.
