what the????

I didnt post about it, but yesterday Rusty had a Seizure, just a partial, both his right legs. lasted about 3 minuts, but couldnt walk proper for an hour after. ok, so we took careful records of legth, recovery, and exact circumstances surrounding it, that way when we get blood work done, we will have something to work with. now today I thought he was about to have anouther seizure because right after eating a blender meal, I found him hiding in his crate licking his right rear leg. I was concerned because these were the exact circumstances of his Seizure yesterday(hiding in crate, after blender meal, right rear leg) but then a got a look at his leg...and he had this huge gash slicing down his leg! I mean it looks like someone took a sharp knife and sliced down his leg, its a good 4-5 inches long! I mean is it just me, or is this just a little wierd, 2 differnt things in a row, under the same circumstances, both the right rear leg?? could these possably be tied together, or is it just a really weird coinsidence?

strange weird...and an oui...if he had a seizure near a sharp enough object could be tied together...when are you heading to the Vet? or did you? Was the wound very deep I know it was big...what did you do about the wound?

the wound isnt deep, just big. we have it cleaned and bandaged. we will actually take him into the vets office when we have more to work with, we are keeping records first, so we cant track the durations, severity, how often, circumstances surrounding etc.. that way our vet has more to go on and the whole thing can be figered out and treated better. our vet has complete faith in us and knows that we know what we are doing, so no worries about that. he WILL be going to the vet to figer out the cause if there is one, and a treatment plan if needed though.

I thought about the seizure near sharp object thing, but he was in his crate. its a plain plastic crate with a blanket inside, I am not sure how he could have gotten a cut like that in his crate?
