Weezy's Tooth Extraction

So yesterday Weezy finally got her tooth pulled. It was a doozy. Somehow she shattered the roots and the tooth that is below the gum line was split in two pieces and mobile. Because of the root problem, the doctor had to cut the gum and flap it open to dig around in there and get the pieces out.

FINALLY -- an anesthesia that went well for her! Plus, her pre-anesthetic bloodwork looked phenomenal. Once again, finally! She didn't have any weird cardiac/EKG issues, any low blood pressure, and she had a wonderful recovery.

I can tell she is a little sore. So she is on Tramadol. She can't have any NSAID's because she is on both Budesonide and Prednisone for her other problems. And then Clavamox because the tooth was nearly abscessed.

She has some suture in there, that should absorb on its own.

Last night I tried to give her all her pills in cheese pieces and she couldn't even eat them! Poor girl. Now she is missing both big chewers. Maybe she will learn her lesson and stop chewing on things and causing them to break!
