thinking about rescuing another min pin

geesh i was looking in the classifieds last night and there was this min pin they want to get rid of he is awful cute he is about argo's age they basically just dont like min pins they make him stay outside all the time and just don't know what to do with a dog that is a one person dog i could never dream of leaving on of these little guys outside by themselves they did not even name him correctly he going by kitty cause thats what the breeder did when calling calling her cats and another person called him shadow but does not answer to that very well. now granted the daughter has cancer and thats a part of it but geesh they got a new puppy but have no time for the min pin. and i know it horrible but these people sound just plain stupid and make me so mad they are selling him for 25 dollars he may have some serious behavioral issues but i don't know this breed has sorta grown on me over the months i have had argo they are kinda crazy more then a little hyper and over the top but geesh they are so cuddly and sweet and there heart is as big as they think they are i can not stand to think of him outside in these thunderstorms and in the heat. so i am going to think it over tonight and maybe pick him up torrow he is like 2 hours away i am going to hate that drive esp the gas i was hoping they would meet me half way but they won't

Ash, you have to start with the idiot breeder who did not properly place her puppy! Probably only cared about the money, didn't research the needs of the puppy rather than her/his own money grubbing need. Makes me sick to see people making a living off their animals, not caring who they go to or insisting that they come back to them if the situation doesn't work out.

People who breed really SHOULD be required to have some education, have to pay for the priviledge (not talking about registeration payment either) and should be held responsible for every life they create. I get so bloody sick of this **** - on another dachshund forum (pets breeders and some like me) there's one person who's dumping a puppy SHE bred because it's leg got broken and she "can't" pay to have it fixed!!! She tried to pawn it off on a client free so they fix the leg, when they declined (uh DUH) she's decided to send HER puppy to rescue!!! Can you imagine! And no one, NO one is saying anything except "ah that's sad." I can't post to her threads as she and I have already had one go at each other...but you KNOW what I want to say

I hope the little minpin finds a proper home, you're right, it doesn't deserve what's happened to it so far. Maybe you can do a rescue and find it a loving, understanding, forever home.

well thats how i got argo in the first place though it was sorta a friend she got him at 8 weeks and then panicked i can not deal with this dog he bites to much and too hard and is hyper and then she had to move and did not want to take him. so i got him at 12 weeks. thing about min pins is under all the really bad crazy things they are just so sweet but they have to be trained and socialized and just not for everyone i guess. i have to say he is very hard to punish they are just very cute. but no matter how often i want to straggle him each night when h ze snuggles up to me i forget why i was mad at him that day the little imp

sometimes, breeders do make genuine mistakes in placing a dog!.Some people do know how to sell themselves, all to well!.

I adore the minpins and the rat terriers - love the attitude and the fact that they are cuddle monkies . I hope it works out for you Ash really I do - I'm just on a rant today. Should go stand in corner for awhile.

Truely GH - it's why I had several steps in interview and some sneaky questions ... maybe I passed up some good homes that had had trouble in their past but my heart was for the puppies not the people.

well i have to say though sometimees good people make mistakes learn from them make good owners later in life. i honestly dont think you can screen every family and not get tricked.
honestly i doubt very much i could get a dog from a good breeder why cause one i am to independant to live by other peoples rules. even though those rules are there for a good reason and i would follow most of em anyway not because the breeder told me to but cause its the right thing to do and thats my resposibility as a dog owner and i take that accountablity very seriously and not because a breeder is huffin down my back threatening to take my dog away in court. lol and also i dont ever think i am a good enough dog owner.
