Oy...just what I needed

Soooo, I got quite a suprise today...

This guy Jeff used to work with (total loser, by the way) shows up at our house today with a dog. Claims he and his friend were in West Virginia over the weekend and went to a flea market where she was being abused. They, of course, can't keep her and if we didn't take her, they were going to "let her go." (Kind of defeats the purpose of "saving" her from the cruel man at the flea market, dontcha think?)

Everyone that knows me knows that I will fall for that every time, so what choice did I have?

We're going to try to find her a home. She appears to be housetrained, and she's quite sweet. She spent last night sleeping on a blanket under the end table because she's scared to death of everything right now.

She looks like a feist to me, perhaps a mix, but who knows since feist's vary in appearance so much anyways.

Here she is..

We aren't naming her. I can't get attached. (Easier said than done).

SFD I had to giggle - yup let people know you have or do rescue and it's amazing what ends up at your house. I can't tell you the times in Cali we came home to a box sitting on our road/deck. The word gets out and you get everyone's cast off.

Best of luck on finding a forever home, just remember YOU are the one with a heart not these other yahoos.

Actually a Mountain Feist is not a breed it is a "type" of dog. Mainly used as a "vermin" dog (squirrel, coon, etc) usually a terrier cross with a hound. Usually considered a southern "breed." (again not a breed it is a type.)

I personally think "L" friend Jeff came up with a story and dump the poor dog on you. I think you are right not to name. I know someone out there will love this dog.
