Yellow/Greenish Discharge on the penis.
Well its been atleast a month or two since Oscar was castrated. Before his neutering, he would have a Yellow/Greenish discharge on his penis. I thought it was ejaculation there and turned the color it does because its been "sitting" there. But now its been a while and i figured that the testosterone in his body that was floating around is just about dead. It appears not. Before this ejaculation would be there everyday but after the neutering it comes in only once in a while. Id like to know what it is. Im not even 100 percent sure if its ejaculation. Health issue?

Could it be pee? Ariel sometimes gets a pasty pee residue. Usually a little licking takes care of the problem and of course then she wants to give kisses. (GROSS) But it's never green.

Clifford had that problem till he was neutered. I was told its not "ejaculation", but like a lubricant for the "lipstick" which would result in ejaculation.
I guess I dont know exactly what it is, but thats my experience. |

Still getting it occasionally here, 19 months after neuter. Nasty, sticky... Haven't gone into depth for colour, kind of an off-yellow I guess. Take a scissor to it. What is it? It's annoying as **** since he's so hairy

eXile, Dobermom is correct, it is lubrication for the little red rocket...the pink crayon...
It is completely normal and healthy. And just part of owning a male dog. It has nothing to do with testosterone or ejaculation. For Jack it is constant. It really shows on a black dog. And I do frequently see it on Tanner. I just tell my dogs to go clean themselves. They don't listen well to that command, but how do you teach that one? |
