Why doesn't anyone want him?

I don't post here a lot so i will give a little background- I run a rescue in my town and have a pretty high adoption rate- we have a few GREAT foster homes and generally the dogs move quickly. Generally.

Not so with Dax. He is a 2 year old Jack Russell (purebred, even though he is super tall) He has none of the "typical" terrierness- great with other dogs, not a lot of prey drive, etc. He is super cute, and is just a great dog! I don't understand why I've had barely any interest in him!

He would make a great performance dog- he is super athletic- has lots of drive, and wants to please. I had some flyball people interested in him but nothing came of it. I just get so frustrated sometimes.

I am fostering this guy myself as he wasn't neutered when we first got him and he'd mark in the house any chance he got. We have that sorted out now and he's been neutered- he is more than ready for his new home- only now we have to find it!

Have you try a JGT rescuse to see if they can come up with someone that might want him?

I hope that he will soon fine a good home.

Awww, he is cute. It makes you wonder why certain ones aren't looked at.

The perfect home just hasn't come forward yet. It's out there though.

Pass it on to whoever you'd think would be interested! He really is a great little guy. Oh- if you are passing it on to flyball people they will want to know that he is almost 16" tall exactly. )

Thanks!

i have found through rescue its the healthy middle aged ones that can be the toughest...obviously babies are easy and with the older or special needs ones you get those whos heart strings get tugged or say "i want the old or special needs one cause no one else will" the healthy middle ones are the ones that get over looked...i hope his forever home comes along soon he is adorable

He is such a cutiepie! It's hard to imagine him going homeless. Keeping up hopes that the sweetie soon finds his forever home!

Well, I took some new pics of him this morning playing in the hose...hopefully being cute will get some interest in him.

adult dogs are always harder to place- and with a jack there is so much stereotype about hyperness, aggressive etc. So I knew when we took he'd be here awhile but he is just so GREAT! I am amazed. Too bad I have enough dogs of my own!
