I don't know if you can tell by blood work but I can always tell when Buddy is going to have a seizure, he seeks us out and gets very clingy with a strange look in his eyes.
Are worried about one of the Beagles? |

Just as in people, there is no blood work that can foresee a seizure. There may be signs but often a seizure is unprovoked (sp).

Another dog to sense it and tell you? ha ha. Like in people. There are dogs who are service dogs for the epileptic. They sense when the seizure is coming and notify their owners.

Do they know why he is having seizures? I have heard of food allergies causing seizures before... Perhaps finding out what is causing them?

This is a very interesting thread to me. Keller, my deaf foster girl, started having seizures at night last week!
Scares the kibble out of me!Right now I'm charting for the Vet and she's going in this week. I know they probably won't be able to tell much from following some of the other threads in the past on the subject. We feed a good diet and she wasn't having them before. She's just hitting her "teenage years". She's had 3 so far, all at night between 12 midnight and 3a.m. .... Bosley's Slave has some very in depth threads about his seizures you may want to take a peek at. |
