Rottie or Doberman Rescue

I hope someday soon I will be ready to bring another dog into my home. We want to rescue a Rottweiler or Doberman, what do I look for in a rescue organization? Do you think it is better to foster first?

I have contacted Rottweiler Rescue of Miami before when we tried to adopt Max, but how do you know how reputable they are?

I do not know groups in southern states, but I am sure I can get some good info.

My personal feelings are...I do NOT like foster to adopt, I feel if your ready, you will make the dog work.

Thats NOT to say you take a "problem" child on, but you are ready to deal with reasonable issues.
Meka was a TRAIN WRECK!! We ALL had patience and made it work.

With any foster or adopted dog, sacrifices are made.

I have no doubt when your ready, you will make a great decision!

Sometimes, driving the distance to get a good dog,is worth it!.Might be a nice roadtrip, for you & yr DH + the apportunity to meet Dobermom!.
Alimel,if you need another person to help you chose a dog,I could come with you and yr Dh!.
I'm pretty good at judging dog's character, even though,at the end of the day,it's yr choice!.
I did that with another friend when I lived in NJ!.
