Sadie has itchy flaky skin after her bathes...
should I change shampoos? I'm using oatmeal shampoo for dogs

ok Sadie Lynn is a german shepherd/terrier and she is 6 yr old, she be 7 in December. Last time she has a reaction was in summer of 2007. I use hartz oatmeal.

How much to you bath her ? It is very possible you are bathing too often. You should also loking into a skin supplement such as Flax oil capsules, salmon oil or fish oil ( not cod liver ) to help with her skin problems.
A dog does not need to bathed once a week unless they get dirty or muddy. Once a month is usually enough or you dry out the skin. |
